Yardlong beans it means 'kacang panjang' (=bahasa Indonesia).
Yardlong beans as unique vegetable , the taste its sweet and crunchy. You can see yardlong beans in many modern and traditional market.
Yardlong bean is a plant that is used as a vegetable or fresh vegetables. It grows by climbing or twining. Part of which is used as a vegetable or fresh fruit that is still young and fibers are still soft, yardlong beans is easily found in hot regions in Asia.
It's easy to make some creation from yardlong beans because the taste it's delicious, just saute with garlic and pepper...it's fresh or we can eat as a fresh with 'sambal terasi' (=chilli sauce with belacan) ...hmmm...yummm...
And now, I can make Yardlong Stir Fry with Anchovy and here the recipe :
200 grams yardlong beans, cut as a matchstick
50 grams anchovy, soak on warm water
5 pcs red chilli, cut
5 cloves of shallot
3 cloves of garlic
1 tomato, medium size and cut
1 tsp vegetable oil
50 ml water
Salt, sugar for seasoning
How do:
Just saute shallot, garlic, shallot and chilli until well and add other ingredients. Cook until yardlong beans soft. Serve with rice.
